1371.04 ENTRY AND INSPECTION.
   The Housing Inspector shall have the right and authority to enter any building, structure or premises within the corporate limits of the City for the purpose of making inspections or investigations at all reasonable hours; provided that, except in cases of emergency or specific complaint of possible Code violations, the right and authority conferred by this section shall not apply to the entry of private residence unless written notice is served on the occupant thereof at least seven days prior to such entry. Such written notice shall contain a statement of the purpose of such inspection or investigation, setting forth the reason such inspection is necessary to protect the public interest. (Ord. 55-1999.
