1329.05 PERMIT ISSUANCE.

   (a)    Heating and/or air-conditioning permits shall be issued only to licensed warm air heating and/or air conditioning contractors or to a bona fide owner of a single one-family dwelling when the dwelling is occupied by or is intended to be occupied by the owner as his own single-family dwelling. When an owner is issued a permit, he shall himself do the work authorized by the permit, and it shall be unlawful to employ others, other than a licensed warm air heating and/or air conditioning contractor, to do any part of such work.

   (b)    This shall not be applicable to the installation, alteration or remodeling of electric heating strips or electric cable heating used for heating any structure in the City. An electric permit shall be required for wiring and electrical connections when installing, altering, remodeling or replacing air conditioning units, electric furnaces or heat pumps.
