1311.10 EMPLOYEES' EXEMPTIONS.

   A licensed contractor or the holder of a certificate of competency who accepts a position with the City as an inspector for the Department of Building and Zoning Inspection shall not engage in the business for which the license was issued, as it would be a conflict of interests. However, licenses and/or certificates of competency may be made inactive and shall be kept on the inactive list, and both the fee and bond shall be waived. If, upon leaving the employment of the City, the inspector should decide to reactivate his license, he may do so by paying the required renewal fee. The same shall apply to an inspector in the employ of the Department of Building and Zoning Inspection who legally secures a certificate of competency by paying the application fee and passing the required examination.
