1307.01 MEMBERS; QUALIFICATIONS; TERM OF OFFICE.

   The Mayor is authorized and directed to appoint, with the consent of Council, a Board of Building Appeals composed of five members consisting of one registered architect who is to practice in this State, one building contractor, one professional engineer and two lay persons, each of whom shall be duly licensed to practice their respective professions in the State of Ohio and are residents of the City of Cuyahoga Falls.

   The Mayor shall appoint these five members, one of whom is to be the Chairman, with the consent of Council, two members to be appointed for an initial period of two years, one member to be appointed for an initial period of three years, one member to be appointed for an initial period of four years, and one member to be appointed for a period of five years. All subsequent appointments shall be for a period of five years for all members.

   The members of the Board of Building Appeals shall serve without compensation unless otherwise provided by ordinance.
