505.11 HUNTING PROHIBITED.
   (a)   No person shall hunt, trap, kill or attempt to kill any animal, fowl, wild bird or wild quadruped within the City. This paragraph (a) shall not apply to that part of the City that was known as Northampton Township immediately prior to the merger of the City and Northampton Township.
   (b)   No person shall hunt, trap, kill or attempt to kill any animal, fowl, wild bird or wild quadruped within the City, including that part of the City formerly known as Northampton Township, when either the person hunting or the animal, fowl, wild bird or wild quadruped being hunted is on any property owned by another without having on his person the prior written consent of the owner or, if the property is occupied by persons other than the owner, the occupant of the property. In order to be effective, the written consent shall state with specificity the name of the person hunting and the date or dates upon which such person is permitted to hunt.
   (c)   Nothing contained herein shall prohibit the owner or occupant of property or his authorized agent from trapping or killing mice, rats or other rodents or vermin found on the person’s property by means other than the use of firearms or airguns.
   (d)   Whoever violates any provision of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. If a violation of any provision of this section results in physical harm to any person or property, the violator shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
