A. Requirement; Number Specifications: All dwelling houses and business houses in the city shall be numbered by large numbers not less than three inches (3") in height displayed in a prominent place upon the front of said buildings facing the street upon which said buildings are located, in accordance with the system of numbering set forth in section 10-4-2 of this chapter.
B. Time Limit; Penalty For Noncompliance: All owners and tenants of houses within the city shall, within sixty (60) days from and after the effective date hereof, number their houses in accordance with the rules set forth in this chapter. In the event any owner or tenant shall fail or neglect to number houses owned or occupied by them, whether sixty (60) days after the effective date hereof or within sixty (60) days after erection of any house or houses, the city shall notify said owner or agent. Any such owner or agent so notified who, within ten (10) days after such notification, fails or refuses to number such house or houses, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code.
