10-3-17: RELATION TO ELECTRIC WIRING:
   A.   Distance From Electric Wiring: Piping shall not be installed closer than five inches (5") to any electric wiring which carries current at more than twenty five (25) volts unless such wiring is enclosed in metal conduits, armored cable or metal raceway, or where not so encased is separated from the pipe by some approved continuous and firmly fixed nonconductor, and no piping shall be run closer than three feet (3') to any electric cutout box, fuse box, or meter.
   B.   Tied Electrically With Conduit, Cable Or Metal Raceway: When gas piping is run near or in contact with conduit, armored cable, or metal raceway carrying wires of a voltage in excess of twenty five (25) volts, the piping shall be permanently tied electrically with such conduit, armored cable, or metal raceway.
   C.   Grounding: Electric wiring from circuits of over twenty five (25) volts shall not be grounded on gas piping. (Ord. 15.28)
