10-3-14: ACCESSIBILITY OF PIPING:
   A.   Partitions: Vertical pipe, when concealed in partitions, should be located in hollow rather than in solid partitions. Such pipe should be so located as not to be in contact with plaster more than is necessary.
   B.   Floors: Piping should not be laid in or under tile, mosaic, or composition floors if it can be avoided, but should be so placed as to be accessible with a minimum of damage to walls, ceilings or floors.
   C.   Exposed Piping: When piping is exposed through areaways or other similar locations, the pipe shall be increased in size sufficiently to prevent stoppages due to freezing by the use of irregular fittings which shall be set to permit drainage of the enlarged section. The enlarged section shall extend through the wall at each side of the areaway. (Ord. 15.28)
