SCHEDULE V.  SNOWMOBILES.
   (A)   Snowmobile vehicles may be permitted to operate on the public right-of-way on certain streets, but not upon sodded or grassed areas, if there is sufficient width to operate at a reasonable distance off and away from the flow of traffic, and if the vehicle is operating in a manner so as not to endanger life or property, and operation of the vehicle as afore described shall be limited to the following designated streets within the town limits:
      (1)   The north primary route of travel within the town upon which a snowmobile shall be allowed to operate as above described shall be Forest Place, north and south to the lake or park, and then Washington Street to Plymouth Street;
      (2)   The northwest primary route of travel within the town upon which a snowmobile shall be allowed to operate as above described shall be from School Street to Academy Street to Slate Street;
      (3)   The west primary route of travel within the town upon which a snowmobile shall be allowed to operate as above described shall be from the west edge of Mill Street to Ohio Street to Davis Street;
      (4)   The west secondary route of travel within the town upon which a snowmobile shall be allowed to operate as above described shall be Road 19 to South Main Street, north to Davis Street;
      (5)   The south primary route of travel within the town upon which a snowmobile shall be allowed to operate as above described shall be South Main Street north to Davis Street to Plymouth Street north where Plymouth Street connects with Jefferson Street east to the lake or Washington Street east to the park and the route to the north; and
      (6)   The south secondary route of travel within the town upon which a snowmobile shall be allowed to operate as above described shall be South Street north to Wabash Street to Obispo to Davis and then to Plymouth Street.
   (B)   The operation of the above described routes is more fully described by the map and coloration of the routes which is incorporated by this reference as if set out in full herein, and copies of the same are kept at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer for review.
   (C)   Residents of the town may take the shortest route to and from their residence to get on a designated snowmobile route. The snowmobile route shall be designated by signs.
   (D)   Snowmobiles are prohibited from operating on any other town streets unless a duly constituted law officer of the town, including President of the Town Council or Town Marshal, authorizes the use of the snowmobiles on the town streets and the right-of-way within its jurisdiction during emergencies when conventional motor vehicles cannot be used for transportation due to snow or other extreme highway conditions or unless there is a properly designated parade and/or civic celebration authorized by the Town Council, authorizing the use of snowmobiles in and upon other streets and rights-of-way within the town.
