Be it further enacted, that the City Council of the City of Crossville, Tennessee, shall have the power, by ordinance, to regulate and control the operation of taxicabs in, upon and over the streets of said City of Crossville; provide and regulate for the parking of same upon the public streets of the said City; and shall have the power to require the owner of any taxicab, before operating such machine, to obtain a permit from the City, and to give a bond or provide a policy of insurance to protect those injured by such taxicab in the operation thereof; and to make any other special regulations relative to the operation thereof which the safety and convenience of the public may require.
