All water and sewer lines to be owned by the city must be installed in ditches separated by a minimum of ten feet. No other utilities shall be installed less than six feet from a water or sewer line. In the event a utility must cross a water or sewer line, the City Superintendent shall be promptly notified and a formal request made. The City Superintendent shall set criteria for the installation to ensure that safe distances are maintained and the location properly mapped.
