The Municipal Planning Commission shall elect its Chairperson from among its appointment members. The term of Chairperson shall be one year with eligibility for reelection. The Commission shall adopt rules for its transactions, findings and determinations, which record shall be a public record. The Commission may appoint such employees and staff as it may deem necessary for its work and may contract with city planners and other consultants for the services as it may require. The expenditures of the Commission, exclusive gifts, shall be within the amounts appropriated for that purpose by the City Council.
