The Planning Commission shall consist of seven members; two of these shall be the Mayor and a City Council member elected by the City Council; the other five members shall be appointed by the Mayor. They shall be compensated at the rate of $15 per month, per meeting attended. Any vacancy in the office of an appointive member shall be filled for the unexpired term by the Mayor, who shall also have authority to remove any appointive member at his or her pleasure. The Mayor shall appoint five members of this Commission who shall hold office for one, two, three, four and five years, respectively in order that the term of one member will expire every year. The terms of the Mayor and the City Council member selected by the City Council shall run concurrently with their terms of office.
