§ 4-512 TRAINING.
   (A)   Regular employees. On an annual basis, all employees shall receive training and education on precautionary measures, epidemiology, modes of transmission and prevention of HIV/HBV infection and procedures to be used if they are exposed to needle sticks or potentially infectious material. They shall also be counseled regarding possible risks to the fetus from HIV/HBV and other associated infectious agents.
   (B)   High risk employees. In addition to the above, high risk employees shall also receive training regarding the location and proper use of personal protective equipment. They shall be trained concerning proper work practices and understand the concept of "universal precautions" as it applies to their work situations. They shall also be trained about the meaning of color coding and other methods used to designate contaminated material. Where tags are used, training shall cover precautions to be used in handling contaminated materials as per this policy.
   (C)   New employees. During the new employee's orientation to his or her job, all new employees will be trained on the effects of infectious disease prior to putting them to work.
