§ 119.52 INVESTIGATION AND EXAMINATION OF APPLICANT; ISSUANCE OR REFUSAL OF LICENSE.
   (A)   The applicant, affidavit and photographs referred to in § 119.51 shall be referred to the Police Chief who shall investigate the qualifications and the physical and mental condition of the applicant.
   (B)   Each applicant for a village taxicab driver’s license under the provisions of this chapter shall be examined by the Chief of Police or some person by him or her designated as to the applicant’s knowledge of the provisions of this chapter, the traffic regulations and the geography of the village.
   (C)   If the results of the examinations be unsatisfactory, the applicant shall be refused a license. If the Chief of Police shall approve the application, he or she shall endorse thereon the approval and return the same together with the affidavit and photographs to the Village Clerk, who shall forthwith issue the license.
