§ 93.23 LICENSE TAGS.
   (A)   Issuance of tags. The Village Clerk shall provide, each and every year, the number of metal tags as may be necessary, having stamped thereon the year for which the tax is paid. It shall be the duty of the Village Clerk to deliver one metal tag to the person having paid the license fee and the number of each tag shall correspond with the registry of the dog.
   (B)   Tag attached to collar. Every dog shall be provided by the owner or keeper with a leather or other suitable collar to which the license tag will be securely fastened. No dog shall be permitted to remain within the limits of the village unless the owner or keeper thereof shall have caused the dog to be registered and provided with the collar and tag.
   (C)   Removal of tag or collar prohibited. It shall be unlawful for any person, without the consent of the owner or keeper, to remove the collar and/or license tag from any dog for which the village dog license has been paid or to untie, take or release any dog out of the enclosure or off the premises of its owner or keeper.
