§ 90.05 CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   Permit requirements.
      (1)   Permit required. It shall be unlawful to construct or lay any pavement or any public street, sidewalk, alley or other public way or to repair the same without first having secured a permit therefor.
      (2)   Application for permit. Applications for the permit shall be made to the Clerk and shall state the location of the intended pavement or repair, the extent thereof and the person who is to do the actual construction work.
      (3)   Issuance. No permit shall be issued except on order of the Village Board.
   (B)   Bond. Each applicant shall file a bond in the amount of $10,000, with surety to be approved by the Board, conditioned to indemnify the village for any loss or damage resulting from the work undertaken or the manner of doing and/or completing the same.
   (C)   Specifications.
      (1)   Generally. All street and sidewalk pavements shall be made in conformity with specifications laid down or approved by the Village Board.
      (2)   Width of streets.
         (a)   All streets in the village shall be 66 feet wide, with the following exceptions.
            1.   Half-section line streets shall be 80 feet wide.
            2.   Streets of different width may be permitted; provided, the width is approved by the Plan Commission and approved by the Board of Trustees.
         (b)   The curb line for streets 66 feet wide shall be a distance of 19 feet from the middle of the street. The curb line for all other streets shall be set by the Board.
