§ 71.04 LICENSE TAG OR STICKER.
   (A)   Upon the issuance of a license as required by this chapter, the Village Clerk shall deliver to the applicant a gummed tag or sticker upon which shall appear the words "CRESTWOOD" and a number identical with the number of the license and the year for which the license is issued, and it shall be the duty of the applicant to affix the gummed tag or sticker upon the lower right corner of the windshield of the motor vehicle or, if there is no windshield, then in a conspicuous place upon the motor vehicle where it can be readily seen.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful for any motor vehicle, although otherwise duly licensed, for any vehicle either registered in the village or regularly utilized or housed in the village, to be used, parked, housed, or operated upon the streets, avenues or alleys of the village, unless a village tag or sticker is attached thereto. Provided, however, a village sticker shall not be required for such vehicles registered in a municipality or other unit of government outside the village, where a valid tag or sticker from such other municipality or other unit of government is displayed.
   (C)   It shall be unlawful for any person to affix or cause to be affixed any license tag or sticker to any vehicle other than the vehicle to which the license tag or sticker was intended to be affixed at the time of the issuance thereof by the Village Clerk.
