§ 71.99 PENALTY.
   (A)   (1)   Any person violating the provisions and/or regulations of this chapter shall be fined not more than $500 for each offense and a separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
      (2)   Any person taking, destroying, removing or obliterating any license tag, plate or emblem provided for in this chapter without the consent of the owner of the subject vehicle shall be fined not more than $500 for each offense. Every wrongful destruction, obliteration or removal of the license tag, plate or emblem from any vehicle shall be considered a separate offense.
      (3)   Any person owning more than one vehicle for which a license is required by this chapter who shall violate any provision of this chapter as to more than one vehicle owned by the person shall be chargeable with separate and distinct offenses as to each vehicle.
      (4)   A separate and distinct offense shall be considered as committed for each and every day any vehicle is used upon the public ways of the village without a license having been obtained therefor and/or without having complied with the provisions of this chapter.
