With reference to sewer blockage, the following rules and regulations are hereby adopted.
(A) In the event of sewer blockage, the owner or tenant of the premises in question shall notify the Superintendent of Public Works or Village Clerk immediately before embarking on any course of action.
(B) The village will not be responsible to any homeowner or his or her tenant for plumbing bills they incurred.
(C) No person shall cause any excavation in any public streets, alleys or public ways without the prior approval of the Village Board.
(D) The homeowner or his or her tenant is responsible for maintaining and clearing service lines to the point of connection with the main sewer line.
