§ 50.21 WATER USE DURING BUILDING CONSTRUCTION.
   (A)   Permit requirements.
      (1)   Permit required. Persons desiring to use village water for construction purposes shall, in all cases, apply to the Village Board for a permit on a form provided by the Village Board for that purpose.
      (2)   Application for permit; fee. Subject to the requirement of a permit as stated in division (A)(1) above, during the construction of any building and before water is installed as provided in this chapter, the contractor constructing the building may be permitted to use the village water supply by making application therefor and paying a permit fee of $40 for a single-family dwelling, $20 per unit for a multi-family unit and $120 for any other building. Application to have water turned on shall be made in writing to the Village Clerk and shall contain an agreement by the applicant to abide by and accept all of the provisions of this chapter as conditions governing the use of the village water supply by the applicant.
   (B)   Rates and charges.
      (1)   The person shall be required to pay for all water consumed at the then current village rate. In addition thereto, the users shall be required to use a meter provided by the village for the purpose of accounting for the water. The user will be required to deposit the sum of $100 with the village as security for the meter provided and shall be further required to pay meter rental to the village at a rate of $5 per day.
      (2)   The rate charged for water supplied for construction under any building permit shall terminate when an occupancy permit for the premises is issued. Any water used after the issuance of an occupancy permit shall be charged at the rates provided in §§ 50.65 through 50.69.
