(A) The following license fees shall be paid by the owner of any vehicle for hire: For the first taxicab or other vehicle for hire, $25; for the second taxicab or vehicle for hire, $15; and for each additional taxicab or vehicle for hire, $5.
(B) Licenses issued under this chapter shall extend for a period of one year, beginning January 1 of each year, and terminating on December 31. In the case of a license issued on or after October 1, one-half of the above stated fees shall be paid.
