§ 72.32 ENFORCEMENT.
   (A)   The Police Department shall enforce this subchapter in accordance with directions of the Board of Public Works and Safety or the Board of Metropolitan Police Commissioners. When a vehicle is parked in excess of the time limits herein specified, a notice, numbered envelope, and ticket stub shall be placed upon such vehicle informing the owner or operator thereof of the violation, the time of the violation, the license number of the vehicle and such other data which are necessary to a full understanding of the circumstances of such violation, with instructions as to the payment of the charges for such violation. Upon finding such notice and numbered envelope upon his vehicle, the owner or operator thereof may fully satisfy the requirements of this section by placing in the numbered envelope the sum stated in such notice and deposit the same in any meter collection box installed on a parking meter standard, or by delivering the same to the police station.
   (B)   There shall be installed on each street on which parking meters are located on the parking meter standard nearest the intersection of an alley with such street and also at the ends of each row of parking meters in metered parking lots a meter collection box.
