6-12-1: GENERAL LANDSCAPING REQUIREMENTS:
   A.   The plantings in any landscaped area must be properly maintained in order for the landscaped area to fulfill the purposes for which it was established.
   B.   Areas of a parcel not covered by structures or pavement shall be planted with live landscaping.
   C.   Landscaping should not create a visual blight or reduce the aesthetic appearance of the neighborhood or a commercial area.
   D.   Continuous maintenance includes, but is not limited to:
      1.   The removal of weeds and proper treatment to prevent the growth of weeds so as to not infect neighboring properties.
      2.   Mowing, trimming, edging, cultivation, reseeding, plant replacement.
      3.   Appropriate fertilization, spraying, control of pests, insects and rodents by non-toxic methods whenever possible.
      4.   Watering/irrigation and other operations necessary to assure normal plant growth.
      5.   The maintenance, repair, and replacement of landscaping materials and barriers, including refuse disposal areas, walls, fences and other amenities. (Ord. 22-44-O, 12-14-2022)
