For the purposes of this chapter, the following words shall have the meanings given herein. When not inconsistent with the context, words used in the present tense include the future, words in the plural number include the singular number, and words in the singular number include the plural number. The word "shall" is always mandatory and not merely directory.
CITY: The City of Countryside.
INTERTRACK WAGERING: A legal wager on the outcome of a simultaneously televised horserace taking place at an Illinois racetrack or at a racetrack outside of Illinois.
PERSON: Any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, company or organization of any kind.
PUBLIC PLACE: Any place where conduct may reasonably be expected to be viewed by others. (Ord. 10-28-0, 5-26-2010)
