A. License Required: It shall be unlawful to operate or conduct a public dance in the city without first having obtained a license therefor as is herein required pursuant to chapter 1 of this title. (1970 Code §8-2.34)

1. Public dances sponsored by charitable organizations or veterans' groups must obtain the required license but no fee shall be charged. (Ord. 00-38-0, 12-13-2000)
C. Premises: It shall be unlawful to conduct a public dance in any hall or place which is not equipped with sufficient and adequate exits. (1970 Code §8-2.36)
