6-1-1: STATE TRAFFIC LAWS ADOPTED:
   A.   Purpose: It is hereby declared to be the intent of the governing body of the city to aid and assist, by whatever means possible, for the utmost consistency in traffic regulation among and between agencies of Idaho having such jurisdiction. Toward that end, adoption of the Idaho motor vehicle laws by the cities of Idaho is a necessary means of assuring maximum uniformity within the state.    B.   State Regulations Adopted: There is hereby adopted for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the use of all streets and public thoroughfares of the city that certain code identified as the 1994 revised edition, Idaho motor vehicle laws, more particularly title 49, Idaho Code.    C.   Copy On File: One copy of the Idaho motor vehicle laws, together with any revisions or amendments, duly certified by the city clerk-treasurer, shall be kept on file in his office for use and examination by the public. (Ord. 183, 2-2-1971, eff. retroactive to 1-2-1971; amd. 2015 Code)
6-1-2: VEHICLES CARRYING EXPLOSIVES:
   A.   Definition: The term "motor vehicle", as used in this section, shall include a truck, truck and trailer, or other combination of vehicular units having a total carrying capacity of more than two thousand (2,000) gallons.
   B.   Restrictions:
      1.   No motor vehicle carrying more than two thousand (2,000) gallons of petroleum fuel having a flashpoint of less than one hundred degrees Fahrenheit (100°F) shall be permitted to unload such fuel at any garage, service station or other public dispensary of such fuel within the city.
      2.   No petroleum fuel having a flashpoint below one hundred degrees Fahrenheit (100°F) shall be delivered within the city from a motor vehicle parked or standing upon any street, alley or sidewalk.
   C.   Responsibility Of Operator: The operator of any motor vehicle delivering liquid petroleum products of any kind within the city limits shall remain at the control valve of such vehicle at all times while such products are being discharged therefrom. (Ord. 191, 11-9-1971)
   D.   Violation; Penalty: Any person, firm, or corporation violating any provision of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. (Ord. 191, 11-9-1971; amd. 2015 Code)
