SECTION VI-1. DIRECTOR.

There shall be a Department of Finance, the head of which shall be the Director of Finance who shall be appointed or removed by the City Manager, with the advice and consent of a majority vote of the members of Council. (Amended 11-6-12)

SECTION VI-2. QUALIFICATIONS.

The Director of Finance shall be selected on the basis of executive and administrative qualifications requiring a Bachelors Degree in finance, accounting or business administration with a minimum of five (5) years' experience in an executive-level administration position. The Director of Finance shall have knowledge of accounting and taxation and shall have had experience in budgeting and financial control.

SECTION VI-3. SALARY.

The Director of Finance shall receive such salary as may be established by ordinance.
