When any trailer is attached to any motor vehicle standing or in use upon the streets, the trailer shall carry a trailer registration number and rear light as required of other motor vehicles.

ACCIDENTS
(A) Except as provided in division (B) below, the driver of any vehicle involved in an accident either upon a public highway, private road or private drive, resulting in damage to property, shall immediately stop the vehicle at the scene of such accident and give the driver’s name, address, telephone number and operator’s license number to the owner of the property struck or the driver or occupants of any other vehicle involved in the collision.
(B) The driver of any vehicle involved in an accident either upon a public highway, private road or private drive, resulting in damage to an unattended vehicle or property, shall immediately stop such vehicle and leave in a conspicuous place in or on the unattended vehicle or property a written notice containing the information required by division (A) above. In addition, the driver shall, without unnecessary delay, report the collision by telephone or otherwise to an appropriate peace officer.

The driver of any vehicle involved in an accident upon either a public highway, private road or private drive, resulting in injury or death to any person, shall immediately stop such vehicle at the scene of such accident, give the driver’s name and address and the registration number of the vehicle and exhibit the driver’s operator’s license to the person struck, or the driver or occupants of any vehicle collided with, and render to any person injured in such accident reasonable assistance, including the carrying of such person to a physician or surgeon for medical or surgical treatment if it is apparent that such treatment is necessary or is requested by the injured person. Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished as provided in Neb. Rev. Stat. § 60-698.

The driver of any vehicle involved in an accident resulting in damage to fixtures or improvements legally in, upon or adjacent to a road, street, highway or alley shall, within 24 hours, notify the owner or person in charge of the damaged fixture or improvement of the driver’s name and address and of the name and address of the owner of the vehicle causing the damage.

The person in charge of any garage or repair shop at which has been left a motor vehicle of unknown ownership for a period of 15 consecutive days without being removed by its owner or any other person duly authorized to remove the same shall report to the Police Department such information, giving the name, engine number, manufacturer’s serial number, registration number and the name and address of the person abandoning the same, if known.
