As used in this chapter:
(a) “Pinball machine” means any device operated by hand or foot, putting into operation or motion a ball or mechanism, where figures, numbers or letters change on each pull or push of a handle, knob, arm, plunger or button, which device is used for the entertainment of the public by depositing a coin therein or by paying a specific charge to play such game.

(b) “Video game” means a machine which, upon the insertion of a coin or slug, activates a screen or lighted area with action thereon, and operates or may be operated for use as a game, contest or amusement.
