Every habitable room shall have at least one window or skylight facing directly to the outdoors. The required glass area in a habitable room shall be not less than ten square feet or 10% of the floor area, whichever is greater. Whenever the only window in a room is a skylight, the total skylight area shall be at least 15% of the area of the room.
