These subdivision regulations shall supplement any law of the state or ordinance of the municipality, or any rule or regulation promulgated by authority of such a law or ordinance relating to the purpose and scope of these subdivision regulations. Whenever a requirement of these subdivision regulations is at variance with a requirement of any other lawfully adopted rule, regulation, ordinance or resolution, the most restrictive or that imposing the higher standard shall govern, except as provided in § 1240.08.
