1.1.101: TITLE:

The ordinances contained in these chapters shall constitute and shall be designated in its entirety the CODE OF THE CITY OF COLORADO SPRINGS 2001, AS AMENDED and may be cited as "the Colorado Springs City Code" or "the City Code" 1 . The adoption of this Code or any of its portions shall not affect the continuing validity of prior ordinances of the City with which this Code is not in conflict. (Ord. 11-18)

1.1.102: NUMBERING SYSTEM:

   A.   Each section number shall consist of three (3) component parts separated by a period. The first figure shall refer to the chapter number, the second figure shall refer to the article number and the third figure shall refer to the part and individual section number within the part.

   B.   Any reference made to the number of any section shall be understood to refer to the position of the section under the appropriate chapter and article heading, and to the general penalty clause, as well as the section itself, when reference is made to this Code by title in any legal document.

   C.   Citation of this Code using hyphens to separate the component parts of a section number shall be legally equivalent to section numbers using periods. (Ord. 11-18)

1.1.103: ACCEPTANCE OF CODE:

This Code, as presented in printed form, shall be received without further proof in all courts, whether State or Federal, and in all administrative tribunals of this State as the ordinances of general and permanent effect of the City 1 . (Ord. 11-18)
