Any person engaged in the business of electrical construction and of the installation of wiring and apparatus for electric lights, heat or power in the city who shall fail to promptly correct any defects in his work, after having been so notified by the building official or designee, shall not receive any further permits until such defects have been corrected; and in any case in which any person shall continue to or persistently violate the provisions of this article, he shall be punished as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code until he has complied with all the rules and provisions of this article to the satisfaction of the building official or designee.
