Any pier, dock, or boathouse not permitted or maintained or repaired in accordance with § 98.131, as required by this subchapter shall be removed by the owner within 30 days after the service of written notice by the city to remove same. If such structure is not removed within the 30-day period, the city may remove, or cause to be removed, all or any part of the structure at the owner’s expense, and no further permit shall be issued for any such structure appurtenant to the property which was served by such removed structure, until the city has been reimbursed for such removal expense.
