Upon presentation of a proper application to the Town Clerk-Treasurer, the Town Clerk-Treasurer shall examine the application to ensure compliance with this subchapter and if it shall appear that the application is proper in all respects the license shall be granted, otherwise the application shall be denied. The Town Clerk-Treasurer may require a more complete description of the items in the sale inventory as a condition to granting a license. The applicant shall receive notice of the Town Clerk-Treasurer’s decision within 5 business days after submission of the application. The decision shall state generally the reasons for denial of the application in the event of a denial.
