In the event that the owner of any premises shall fail to abate the nuisance as directed in the notice required by § 97.05, the town shall abate the nuisance and bill the costs of abatement to the owner. If the cost incurred by the town is not paid in full within 15 days from the date of billing, the cost shall be certified to the Town Finance Officer and said sum shall become a lien against the property and collected in the same manner as ad valorem taxes.
