(A) It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a taxicab as a driver thereof within the Town of Clarksville without first having secured a license to do so from the Town. It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a taxicab as a driver thereof without having on his or her person a taxicab driver's license issued by the Town.
(B) In the event that a taxicab driver has obtained a valid taxicab driver's license from the city of Jeffersonville or the City of New Albany, then such driver is exempt from the provisions of the ordinance requiring that a taxicab driver obtain a Taxicab Driver's License from the Town of Clarksville.
