1712.02 RULES FOR ENFORCEMENT.
   The City of Clarksburg also adopts the following rules with regard to the enforcement of the State Building Code:
   (a)   The Code Official responsible for code enforcement for the City of Clarksburg shall be appointed by the Chief Appointing Authority of the City of Clarksburg pursuant to the City Charter and the person appointed shall be ratified and confirmed by ordinance by the City Council of the City of Clarksburg.
   (b)    Any person enforcing any code provision or employed for the purpose of inspection or otherwise enforcing any code provision shall be licensed by the State Fire Commission and/or the State Fire Marshal's Office.
   (c)    A licensure certification shall be maintained for each individual working under the Code Official in a separate file in the Code Official's office.
   (d)   The Code Official shall meet annually with the Chief Appointing Authority for the City of Clarksburg during the month of January of each year and produce the proper licensing of any person in his/her department. If the proper paperwork for acting as a member of the Code Enforcement Department is not produced, the employee without such certification shall be suspended from duty in the Code Enforcement Division until such certification has been produced to the Chief Appointing Authority.
   (e)    The Code Official shall follow the administrative rules and regulations set forth in each separately adopted publication of the codes adopted by the State Fire Commission and/or the State Fire Marshal's Office.
