Technical requirements under this article may be waived or modified by the Fire Chief or his authorized representative whenever manufacturer's recommendations provide for equally safe and fire-resistant methods of installation, repair or alteration. Any such waiver or modification shall be at the discretion of the Fire Chief or his authorized representative and shall be in writing. (Ord. 81-17. Passed 8-6-81.)
