Except as otherwise specified in this article, the entirety of any license tax designated as an annual tax shall be billed on or about June 1 in each year, and shall be paid on or before July 1 of the same year All annual licenses provided for by this article shall be issued for a term of one year beginning on July 1 and ending on the next succeeding June 30.
