(a) No person may possess or carry about his person within the City limits any revolver or pistol, dirk, knife, sling shot, razor, billy, metallic or other false knuckles or any other deadly or dangerous weapon:
(1) With the intent of using such weapon for any unlawful purpose, or
(2) In a reckless or negligent manner which might jeopardize the health, safety or welfare of any person, or
(3) In a reckless or negligent manner that might cause damage or destruction of property.
(b) No person may possess or carry about his person within the City limits any of the aforementioned weapons if such person has ever been convicted of a felony or of any violent crime whether or not such crime was classified as a felony;
(c) No person may carry about his person or transport by vehicle within the City limits any of the aforementioned weapons if such person is under the influence of alcohol or any illegal drug;
(d) Except for persons legally authorized to carry such weapons, no person may carry within the City limits any of the aforementioned weapons:
(1) Into any State, County or Municipal Government building;
(2) Into any restaurant, theater, tavern, store, school or other building or place where people frequent for recreational, social or educational functions;
(3) Into any establishment that serves intoxicating drinks;
(4) Into any other building or place within the City where the carrying of such weapons might jeopardize the health or safety of any person.
(e) Nothing in this section shall prohibit the keeping and bearing arms as provided
in the Constitution.
(f) For purposes of this section, the terms "intoxicated", "alcoholic liquor" and "nonintoxicating beer" have the same meanings as provided in Section 521.01.
