131.01 GROSS SALES TAX AUDITOR/TAX AND FEE COLLECTOR.
   There is hereby authorized and created the position of Gross Sales Tax Auditor/Tax and Fee Collector for the City who shall assist the Director of Finance in his duties insofar as collecting B & O taxes, license fees, fire service fees, waste collection fees, by locating, investigating and informing taxpayers and potential payers of such taxes and fees of their liability, and to audit the books and records of taxpayers and to collect payments due the City. The Gross Sales Tax Auditor/Tax and Fee Collector shall be a person with the education and experience requirements and other skills and abilities described in the job description marked Exhibit "A" and attached to original Ordinance 84-28. The Gross Sales Tax Auditor/Tax and Fee Collector shall have the duties, not inconsistent with City Charter or general law, described in such Exhibit A, and shall work under and at the direction of the Director of Finance and shall perform such other duties as shall be assigned to him/her by the Director of Finance not inconsistent with the purpose of this position.
   The Gross Sales Tax Auditor/Tax and Fee Collector shall be appointed by the City Manager on a full-time basis.
   This position shall pass out of existence at the end of one year unless the Finance Director certifies that the results of the Auditor's efforts are paying a return more than adequate to cover the costs associated with the position.
