For the purposes of this article, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section:
(a) "Chief of Police" means the Chief of Police of the City.
(b) "Guard" means a male or female adult school crossing guard appointed under the authority of this article.
(c) "Parking Control Attendant" means any female parking control attendant appointed under the authority of this article.
