There shall be twelve personal leave hours per calendar year commencing on January 1, 1980 through December 31, 1980 and twelve personal leave hours each year thereafter granted to members of the Local 1562, Council 8, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO, Public Employees of Ross County, Ohio. The leave hours request shall be made at the commencement of each shift period by request to the employees supervisor. The supervisor shall grant the leave hours as requested. In the event of an employee emergency it is not necessary to report the request to the shift supervisor at the beginning of a shift if such emergency is incurred during the shift. The employees' supervisor shall be responsible for keeping a personal leave hour record for the calendar year for each employee with date and hour leave indicated and initialed by the supervisor and the employee. There shall be no carry-over of any unused twelve hours personal leave hours. The leave hours may be taken in any amount, but not less than one hour for each period.
