(a) The position of Transit Director is an appointed, nonclassified position and is under the direct supervision of the Mayor and serves at pleasure of the Mayor.
(b) The Transit Director directs all activities related to the management and operations of the Municipal Bus System, which includes development of Transportation Policy and familiarization of State and Federal regulations.
(c) The salary for the Transit Director shall be an amount fixed by the Mayor and approved by Council. The Transit Director shall be entitled to all fringe and non-economic benefits available by law to unclassified employees and shall receive pension pick-up.
