No person shall, in any hotel, motel, rooming house, lodging house, apartment house, tenement house, convalescent home, hospital, child care facility, or similar place of abode, set any fire, or cause the burning of any bedding, furniture, rug, curtain, drape, or other household furnishing or fitting or any other part of the buildings or premises in such a manner as to endanger the safety of any person or property.
