1327.06 INOPERATIVE SERVICE STATIONS; DEFINED AND REGULATED.
   (a)   "Inoperative service station" means a failure to operate the service station for a thirty-day period. The parking of motor vehicles upon the premises of an inoperative service station shall be prohibited and the owner shall place in the window of such inoperative service station a sign of at least ten square feet in area notifying the public of this fact. Notwith- standing, any other provision of the Building Code of the City if the Chief Enforcement Official finds that such notice is not complied with by the public, he may order the owner of the premises on which any station is inoperative for more than thirty days to install fencing or barricades approved by the Chief Enforcement Official which shall be sufficient to block motor vehicle access to the property.

   (b)    The owner of an inoperative service station shall cap underground storage tanks so that they cannot be opened except by the owner's authorized personnel. Capping shall be approved by the Fire Department under standards approved by the National Fire Protection Association.
   (c)    Inoperative service stations shall be maintained in accordance with the provisions of this Building Code and the owner shall cut all grass and remove all rubbish and weeds from the premises.
