The fee for permits for erection of all signs as prescribed in this chapter shall be two dollars ($2.00) for the first fifty square feet or fraction thereof, and fifty cents ($.50) for each additional twenty-five square feet or fraction thereof. For the purpose of computing feet, all display surfaces measured from the outside dimensions shall be included in the square foot area. The minimum fee for any sign is two dollars ($2.00) and all permits must be renewed every five years, renewal permits to be available for two dollars ($2.00).
