In the event any person required to register under the provisions of this chapter, changes his place of residence, stopping place or living quarters, to any new or different place within the City, other than the place last reported to the Bureau of Identification, Division of Police, Department of Public Safety, such person shall, within forty-eight hours after leaving the place of abode first reported, notify the Bureau of Identification of the Division of Police, Department of Public Safety, in a written and signed statement of such change of address and shall furnish in such written statement his new or different address. The written and signed statement shall be delivered personally by the person required to register under the provisions of this chapter.
